My Statement:
In this piece, I wanted to depict the suppression of Tibet’s religious practices, and the struggle between the physical and the spiritual. When religion is repressed, the opportunity for joy, freedom, and understanding is also restricted. Yet, even in the remnants of destruction and the rubble of the past, come new chances for hope, liberation, and prosperity.
